      OBITUARY

Flossie Tolle McDaniel Moore, daughter of Stephen A. and Anna Belle Tolle , was born July 10, 1897, near Lawshe, Ohio, and departed this life March 10, 1996, in the Meadowwood Nursing Home in Georgetown, Ohio, at the age of 98 years and eight months.
She was a member of the former Lawshe Church of Christ, where she was immersed in the Ohio Brush Creek during the ministry of Frank Faust, october 3, 1914. Her family held her 90th birthday celebration at the Lawshe Church of Christ, which is now the Countryside Church of Christ.
On January 4, 1917, she was united in marriage to Arthur McDaniel. They were blessed with five children; one son, Dale McDaniel (and daughter-in-law, Jean McDaniel) of Georgetown, Ohio; four daughters, Dorothy Potts of Dover, Ohio; Dean Kimmerly of West Union, Ohio; Wanda Bowermaster,, deceased; Nora Belle Moorhead (and son-in-law, Paul Moorhead) of Cleveland, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grand children. On the occasion of the birth of the first child in each of her children's homes, she went to stay and help with her new grandchild, as she did with several others of her grand children. Six generations of Flossie's family were living prior to her passing away.
Flossie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Arthur, and her second husband, Glenn Moore, whom she married September 25, 1948, and her six brothers; Edward, Charles, Chancey, Carey, Ora and Dellie Tolle. Flossie was the only daughter in her parents family of seven children. She always called her mother "Mommy." flossie was known as an excellent cook and baker of especially good pies. She always took her turn having the preacher home for dinner. She worked hard at vegetable gardening, canning, and making hot yeast biscuits. She was always busy working to raise her five children alone after Arthur died when her oldest child was 10 and the youngest was born shortly after his death. she had little time to herself, and no doubt did without many things in order to provide for her family. But she liked to play with her children when she had the time, loved to play Chinese checkers one on one, and did a great deal of quilting. She enjoyed her family tremendously. Some of the highlights of her life were the Tolle family reunions every year (she was the oldest one there) and trips to Florida and Colorado to see family members.
Flossie's life was not an easy one. She endured many hardships, including the home farm brning down, doing without electricity for a long time, and raising her own family as well as working outside the home to care for the elderly and ill (some of whom were younger than she!). Flossie is especially remembered for her strength through the years, and her strong faith in God. She read the Bible through at least three times, and loved a life of Christioan love. She was wonderful xample to all who knew her.
